Let’s put our hands up for the McCarthy hearings vs. the Salem Witch Trials!

First up we deal with the witches of 1692. Some kind of mass hysteria had started when a bunch of teenagers started a disco outside a grave. In turn this led to these girls being asked by the justice system to help them search for ‘witches’, since the ‘devil was in their midst’. The whole idea reinforced everyone’s belief in God and was one of the many revivals of the ‘Good Christian’ theory. Since the Devil is considered the worst thing possible, all those who had ‘dealings’ with him were hanged.

McCarthy’s back at it again with those dark accusations. During the 1950’s a similar hunt was started by the justice system to find communists and uproot them from the country. This was done to reinforce faith in the USA and the fact that communists were godless. Starting to sound similar eh? Good low blow by the our ‘In God We Trust” guy Joseph”Amen” Mccarthy

First round’s a tie. Crowd’s in shockers!!

Let’s look at how they ruined society:-

Salem Witch trials started accusations that ruined people’s faith in Justice and in happiness. This spontaneity had been achieved by ‘conspirators’ many say. I think God was starting to not be revered and Parris wanted him back. Good start to the second bout gonna be hard to meet this team’s efforts

Oh lord, Mccarthy did the outrageous. He had a list(of communists). Like weeds in his grass he just picked ‘em out. This increased idea amongst people to be patriotic and to go to their churches. What happened to freedom as a right??

Second round results are out mates, it’s a tie. Starting scares in society just doesn't make sense and no one can figure out why they did it. Not even the darn judges. So creating fear in society, choice is up to you my friends…. One thing we totally forgot.. Both of them meddled with people’s affairs, not right at all. They should be disqualified.
